An-O-Chords Famous BBQ & Barbershop Songfest

Sunset Beach, Washington Park, Anacortes
Join Us,
for
a day in beautiful Washington Park for a day of fantastic food
and barbershop. Starting at noon you can feast on a meal of
BBQ wild king salmon, baked beans, coleslaw and bread all for $13.
Kids can get a gourmet hot dog, a bag of
chips and a small drink for $5. And the ambience is Free! Bring lawn
chairs, a blanket and a bottle of sunscreen!
Don't Miss the Novice Quartet Contest!
Beginning at 1:30 enjoy the novice barbershop quartet contest as
novice and pickup quartets vie for the coveted An-O-Chord
baseball cap. "Novice" might not be a good choice of words
here; there are some really fine performances on the little
beach front stage! Get a foursome together and join the fun.
And of course, our Headliner guest quartet
Old
School
will
join the festivities along with our friends from Abbotsford, BC,
The
Voices of Harmony,
as well as all the unpredictable and entertaining combinations of
bystanders, An-O-Chords, VLQs, friends and strangers who let
their hair down and sing some barbershop. (The bad jokes are
also free of charge!)
Directions:
Drive west out of Anacortes on Oakes Ave. and bear left past the
turnoff to the ferries. Continue straight ahead for about 1
mile to the entrance to Washington Park. Follow the directions
of the traffic officer.

BET! There's a very
nice play area for the kids right next to the Picnic area. Come
on out, enjoy the sun and watch the ferries come and go, a bask
in the harmony of the An-O-Chords and their friends! |
